it's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas... in our house.

I started on the mantle two weeks ago...  and haven't done much to it since...

 I am still planning on cutting off all of that extra yarn... when I get a free minute... and I was hoping to hang a wreath on that mirror but have tried the clear 3M hooks and a suction cup and both options FAILED me... suggestions anyone?  the wreath weighs like a pound max!

I dragged the tree up from the basement and assembled it last week when my Mom and my neighbor were here... had a tad bit of a set back with the pre-lit lights but Andrew came through and got 95% of it working (good enough we said... good enough)

we actually got the tree decorated tonight, with a couple of glasses of wine in hand and two lovely sleeping babies upstairs...

love this ornament... which was slightly edited by my parents.... apparently a twin ornament is extremely difficult to come by...

We ordered two special ornaments for the girls off of etsy on friday night... received the shipping notification yesterday and can't wait for them to arrive.

this will be the best christmas yet.
