We painted the walls Teresa's Green by farrow and ball when we first moved into the house. I'm not going to lie... we had a baby on the brain and thought that this colour would work for a guest room and would be lovely for a babies' room too (little did we know there would be two babies calling this room home).
The chair which we love was a gift from my parents (and bonus... it also reclines) is by Monte (yay Canadian company!).
The cribs were ordered from Walmart US and we drove just across the border to pick them up one sunny day. They were a steal and are rock solid.
The bedskirts were made by Grandma (my Mother-in-law) with fabric that I found online by Amy Butler.
The dresser is my favourite piece in this room. It was given to us by a friend of the family's and Andrew refinished it with farrow and ball's cabbage white.
The side table was a find at Home Sense and Andrew did a bit of surgery on it by cutting the legs down so that it would be the right height for the chair and then painting it Cabbage White.
The panels were purchased right before the girls arrived (pregnant + indecisive = major procrastination) and I found them here.
honorable mention... sleep sheep.... he's the one sitting oh so coolly on the recliner... if you are having a baby, buy him.
There you have it... the nursery... one year late. Better late than never right!
It feels like home (I know, it is home) but it feels perfect.
Love the room. Especially the dresser and art! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is perfection! Seriously, I love it and think you should go into decorating!
ReplyDeleteIt feels like yesterday you were posting about getting the cribs and assembling them. I was going to ask if you use the recliner much, but it sounds like you do. I love their room, always have. Love it even more though with your two girls in it. :)
ReplyDeleteto be honest - we use the chair yes... the reclining feature... like never. apparently my visions of nursing tandem and falling asleep altogether on a reclined chair were flawed!
DeleteSo beautiful! What lucky girls :)
ReplyDeleteLove those curtains and I am sure you have spent enough time in that chair to give a solid review!!
ReplyDeleteyeah the chair is super comfy and the white leather - definitely a good decision... but the recline... overkill.
DeleteBeautiful room. Have you thought about how you're going to have the room when the girls are ready for big girl beds? That's going to come round quicker than you expect!
ReplyDeleteWow what a great room. I just love the curtains, they tie it all together!
ReplyDeleteIt seems comfy and bright, just like a nursery (or big girl room) should be!
Beautiful room!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a serene space! It still is so neat to me that you have TWO BABIES. TWO CRIBS. How amazing that you put two sweet babes in their cribs and they get to sleep so close to each other. What a bond.
ReplyDeleteI love the girls' nursery. so classic. the dresser is my favorite piece as well, gorgeous. And I just love the panels.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a gorgeous, peaceful, beautiful nursery for the girls. I love all the beautiful details. Your asthetic eye never ceases to amaze me, Ashley. Thanks for sharing these pics with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Augusta!
DeleteI love the nursery and can see why you would love spending time in it! Not to be blunt but is your glider worth the money? I am having a hard time finding a glider that doesn't look like it belongs in an elderly woman's house and love the one you have.
ReplyDeleteBluntness is appreciated! Honestly I am going to say that yes the chair is worth it only because I love how it looks and I know we will eventually move it to another space since it would look great in a living area as well. I would say go for one without the recline option if it's slightly cheaper as we really don't use that feature very much.
DeleteOh, wow... that is so chic! I went with a more patchwork and brightly-colored theme but I have such a soft spot for the muted, calm, sophisticated and streamlined look of this room. ADORE it. You should submit it to Ohdeedoh!
ReplyDeletethanks Jules!
DeleteLOVE it!
